Only in Korea
So my mom just called me to tell me that she would be late to my apartment because she met a woman on the street who grabbed her wrist and led her off to her home. The woman doesn't speak English, and my mom doesn't speak Korean, but she is slicing up peaches and they are apparently having a great time. Only here would I think of this as being a perfectly normal occurrence.

haha that's awesome... I really wish people would do that here in the states... especially to me. I like peaches.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is so cool! We would think we were being accosted here! Linda is so pretty, the woman probably thought so to and just had to have her come to her house. How neat that is.

Only to your mother! Are all the people that friendly? Knowing your mom, she really enjoyed that. It just goes to show that language is not keeping Koreans from showing complete hospitality to a foreigner. The Korean friends I have here are like that. I hope Linda is having a wonderful time there, I know she is just to be able to see you. Tell her to take lots of pictures she can share when she gets back. Dont stop your blogs, I truly enjoy reading every morning before I go to work!

ReplyDeleteBetter peaches than fish. Better fish than living things like squid :0
Did you see in the news about that woman who was slicing up poisoned peaches and giving them to foreigners in her house?!
ReplyDeleteWait...
Funny boy!!
ReplyDeleteAnd your mom told me not to do things like that when we were in Reno. That's funny!
